NETZ is a non-political music-and-multimedia art project. we started producing electronic music at the Abseits Studio in 1992. since then, we've developed a new style of music which we call "electronic power pop", a kind of melodious electronic-body-music, focusing on dry, cold sound patterns.

NETZ published the first cd "auf ewig" in 1996. it was recorded at the temple studio in Freiburg / germany. the collaboration between NETZ and Temple Music soon lead to very satisfying results and many new ideas, ...and to the "werk01" cd!

NETZ is a philosophy - a style of being. one of the main focuses is on the art of live-performance. they are planned to be multi-media events with synchronized slide projections. (due to financial limitations, we are not able to realize all of our projects at the time being.)

at the end of 1997 we got in contact with Ant-Zen. Salt saw the NETZ homepage and asked for a copy of "auf ewig". but then he told us that our music would not fit to the concept of Ant-Zen (...and that's right -of course! our music is anything but industrial). some weeks later he contacted us again and asked if we were interested in producing a cd for their new label, Flatline. so here we are...

  flatline-records
another recording for Flatline is the remix of the "In Strict Confidence" title "industrial love". it was published on the "flatline compilation 2". in summer 2000 NETZ finished the collaboration with Flatline. the cd "werk02" was produced in september 2000 at the templestudio freiburg and was released in october 2001on artoffact-records - our new label from canada.

NETZ presented the release "werk02" live in toronto and montreal / canada at 03 and 06 november 2001.

in 2002 NETZ and ArtOfFact-Records started a collaboration with the german distributor SX-Distribution.
